There is something truly magical about the Remarkable Rocks. I sense a strong spiritual presence when I visit and a feeling that the rocks may just be keeping an ancient secret I will never know.
Located on the far south western corner of Kangaroo Island, the rocks are easily accessible by road but are also extremely remote. In fact, if you face due west the next land is many thousands of kilometres away. You can imagine just how wild the region is.
For over 3 years I have visited and shot the Remarkable Rocks countless times before this particular evening, only to be let down by poor or average light and conditions.
Finally in May of 2016, I was running a group workshop with 8 lucky participants from across Australia and the world when it all came together. After assisting the group with their own photos, I setup my gear and using my intimate knowledge of the rock formations composed quickly before nailing the shot I had been chasing all those years.
After reviewing my capture I realised that the cloud formations looked just like a giant hand, perhaps God's hand, outstretched over the rocks below. As if he was illustrating ownership of his skillful handiwork.

Print Information

For unframed prints and gallery wall stock (framed prints), Australia wide delivery takes 1-2 weeks and International delivery takes 2-3 weeks. For custom framed prints, Australia wide delivery generally takes 6-8 weeks and International delivery time takes 8-10 weeks.
