It was just after 6:00am and I was standing barefoot and alone on the edge of this isolated rock platform, looking out to the formation commonly known as Dragon Head. With icy cold waves breaking over my knees, the sunrise started to fill the sky and I knew it was going to be something special.
I had pictured this shot in my mind for almost a year and finally the conditions were coming together. It had eluded me for so long, despite many repeat visits. I needed the right combination of swell and tide height to achieve smooth water, and of course an amazing sky in the background. I waited for the perfect moment and fired the shutter, capturing this once in a lifetime photograph. The result is incredibly surreal, like a scene from another world. Once content that I had nailed the shot, I quickly retreated 200 metres or so back to the safety of the shoreline to avoid the danger of the incoming tide.

For unframed prints and gallery wall stock (framed prints), Australia wide delivery takes 1-2 weeks and International delivery takes 2-3 weeks. For custom framed prints, Australia wide delivery generally takes 6-8 weeks and International delivery time takes 8-10 weeks.
