After watching the weather forecast carefully for a few weeks in May 2017 I saw some strong potential for a colourful sunrise one Tuesday morning.
Before going to bed the night prior, I had planned to head to a location on the Westernport side of the Peninsula but when I awoke, my inner voice told me to go to Mount Eliza instead.
The drive was a little longer than I had anticipated which meant that when I arrived, the sky was already starting to light up. I grabbed my gear from the back of the car and raced down the walking track to Davey's Bay, running past a lady with her dog. I’m sure she was wondering why I was in such a hurry!
I have visited this location 5 or 6 times but the light has always let me down. With colour building in the sky, my anticipation was high! I arrived at the Davey’s Bay Yacht Club jetty, setup my gear and found my composition. I waited until the colours had spread nicely across the sky, filling my composition beautifully. I nailed this long exposure and within seconds the colours began to fade. I had finally captured a stunning sunrise at Mount Eliza. |

For unframed prints and gallery wall stock (framed prints), Australia wide delivery takes 1-2 weeks and International delivery takes 2-3 weeks. For custom framed prints, Australia wide delivery generally takes 6-8 weeks and International delivery time takes 8-10 weeks.
