The Nugget Point Lighthouse watches over the ocean on the southeastern corner of New Zealand's South Island. I climbed a steep cliff high above the walking track in complete darkness to reach the best vantage point for the lighthouse and was rewarded for my efforts soon after with an absolutely amazing sunrise. Immediately after capturing this photograph it started to rain so I hastily returned down the cliff to safety. This photograph looks incredible when viewed large! |
